Bette Davis was a mean, mean lady

So it’s been kind of busy at work, but mostly I just don’t feel very funny because it’s cold and grey and yucky outside, so I thought I’d share this quote from Bette Davis upon learning of the death of her hated nemesis, Joan Crawford:

You should never say bad things about the dead, you should only say good . . . Joan Crawford is dead. Good.

MeOW!

MeOW!

Bette Davis gonna cut a bitch.

Bette Davis gonna cut a bitch.

Their feud was a thing of beauty. Been a while since I’ve read about it, but man… they took hating each other to inspiring levels.

Yeah, they LOATHED each other. Which is funny, because in the early days, Joan Crawford’s enemy was Norma Shearer, the “Queen of the Lot” at MGM (Crawford’s studio). That rivalry makes more sense because Crawford always felt like Shearer was getting roles that should have been Crawford’s, were Shearer not married to the second-in-command at MGM. And Shearer always hated Crawford because she was a jerk.
… Actually, I guess Bette Davis hating Crawford because she was a jerk also makes sense.
