Let me correct this headline for you

March 2, 2017 at 12:28 pm (Stuff that Bugs Me Right Now) ()

The headline in the newspaper read: “Protestors support suspended host,” but this is more accurate: “Racist not wrong to say racist things, other racists say.”

"Look, it's just that every single member of that other race is bad."

“Look, it’s just that every single member of that other race is bad.”

Leaving aside the discussion of whether his comments were racist (they were), he was outright calling for segregation. You’d think that segregation, at least, would be something that even casual racists could admit is not a great idea.

On the other hand, we’re now living in a society that is also using historical revisionism to say that, “Hey, maybe the Japanese interment camps during WWII weren’t a bad idea.”

*internment. Cursed lack of edit functionality!

Hah. Yeah, you probably saw the letter to the editor in today’s paper that said the internment camps were “common sense” and we should stop talking about them?
      I hate that person.

…oh for the love of god. No, I hadn’t even seen that. I was only making the comment because it’s become a common sentiment among the right ever since Thinskin McOrangeToddler was elected.

Well, don’t read the opinion section today, then. There were the usual rational people and then the racist nutbags. Every time I see more rational people than racist nutbags with letters to the editor, I don’t think, “Oh, everyone is coming to their senses,” I think, “My God, how bad must the racism have been in the letters that weren’t allowed to get published!”
